Curated Copenhagen: City Guide

Copenhagen is hands down the coolest kid on the block right now. For a city of 1.2 million, it’s at the epicenter of the fashion, design, food and architecture scene. Of yeah, and then there’s the historical factor – almost nine centuries under the Royal rule. It’s cobbled, bike-friendly streets invite you to explore its urban wonderland and then a whole lot more.

Must Stay: The Royal Radisson Blu

Located in the heart of the city center, The Royal Radisson Blu was designed by Arne Jacobsen, an architectural master in his own right. His designs can be seen all over Denmark, where you can feel the birth of modern Danish culture.

Must Eat: Royal Smushi Cafe

Nestled in the heart of busy Copenhagen, the little gem that is the Royal Cafe is an innovative experience that everyone should visit, grab a bite and experience. Smushi is a mixture of bite-sized open faced sandwiches crossed with sushi.

Must Visit: Torvehallerne Market

At home in a glass warehouse, the Torvehallerne market is the wunderkind of farmers markets. With over 60 stalls devoted to the freshest foods, produce, plants and beauty products, stopping to browse, have a spot of lunch or even have a coffee to take it all in, is a relaxing and welcoming break from discovering the city.

Must Explore: Georg Jensen

With a real study and love for history, The Georg Jensen flagship store is a must stop destination on your exploration list. The second floor has the world’s best silverware collection on display, and you can see the tools that they still use in the making of their silver for hundreds of years.

Must Shop: Hay

With a massive nod to the Danish modern design movement, Hay is considered one of the most prominent furniture & lifestyle goods store. They believe that good design comes from uncomplicated aesthetics, such as modern technology that is functional, providing harmony in the home.

It seems that you have really explored the right parts of the city and gotten a great impression. Let me know when you come back and I will be more than happy to guide you to more experiences around the city.

Thank you for a lovely dinner at AOC last night. You made the experience even better and ensured AOC a 5 star rating on tripadvisor too.

    Best
    Casper
