My Favourite Wool Shawl = Splendour In The Grass Fun

Trekking high in the mountain regions of Nepal, I was freezing cold. A local man who had traveled 2 hours by foot to set up his small spread of a shop, had 10 things to sell that day. My much-needed purchase was this shawl – Uh-ohh there was only one! First hand to touch it get’s it right? Hand woven from Yak wool, I had a prized possession, a unique one of a kind that entered my life as a NEED not a want. Freezing cold with no extra clothes for warmth, my wanderlust purchase came on an unexpected adventure with me. Through 21 days of trekking peaks and valleys, snow-capped mountains, fields of flowers, and trails of desert like grit, we bonded through it all. I have always said, “You wear the clothes, the clothes don’t wear you”. Here’s a Yak blanket/shawl – It’s not high-end wool, but it’s special, has history, and because of its uniqueness, everybody says “Where did you get that?” This is an outfit I would wear to a fabulous dinner party. The complex layers & textures of wool and lace, with a mans suspender belt wrapped around my waist, makes for a wondrous adventure, or lifelong splendor in the grass…[Lace skirt styled another way HERE]
