Growing up in Hong Kong, we would once or twice a year go to the bird market. A place where you could get any exotic bird, but mainly you went for the bird cage, and the sweet bird songs. I would stare at the antique Chinese bird cages, and watch the old locals tend to their birds for the sweet song they would sing in return. In the back streets of Beijing, I came across one persons version. They had mockingbirds, and if you spoke in Mandarin, they would repeat what you said back to you. I’m a huge fan of combining blacks and browns together, and I breathe the life of a bird. I travel, I am not caged, and I dare to spread my wings. Come fly with me? Xx
“A bird doesn’t sing cause it has an answer, it sings because it has a song”
“Inside us patiently waiting, sits a tiny little adventurous bird”
“Put a bird cage near the window so that the bird can see the sky? It’s much better to look than not to,
even if it hurts”
“You were born with wings, why prefer to crawl through life?
