One of the favorite parts of my trip to China was hanging with the locals. Getting a sense and vibe of where they go and what they do. Exploring around the local “Hutongs” (alleyways), gives you a real feel for the cafes, shops, food stalls and fun outdoor activity. Although there is still a lot of propaganda around, the attitude of the locals is that they always look on the bright side of life. There is a better today, a better tomorrow, all leading to a better future. The optimism is with the young, and young at heart!
