True story. Growing up in Hong Kong, TV shows were very limited due to not enough channels and programming around. So on the weekends we would watch Anime – Japanese cartoons, to keep us all occupied. By brothers and friends from the street would all gather in my living room, with the TV blaring in Japanese, and not one of us could understand a single word. My Mum would come into the living room, and yell at us to turn the TV down, as its not as if we could understand it anyway. But you know what? we could! See kids have that imagination, that curious nature that wants to be involved. The graphics, and the dialogue (again we didn’t understand the words, but understood the emotion) suck us into the world of Anime. I loved this tee that I picked up at Comic Con San Diego a few years back. It reminds me of the good old days, where you don’t need to speak the language to understand a thing.
