Being away from my family at the holidays is never easy, but seeing as they are 18 hours ahead overseas, I get to have two days of Christmas – their day and mine. Wearing this houndstooth coat around the holidays always reminds me of my Mum, as her best childhood friend is the granddaughter of David Jones, The worlds oldest running department store, in Sydney Australia. Their logo is the houndstooth pattern – one of the most recognized corporate identities Down Under. If I can’t be with my family, then I’ll just try to feel inspired by them instead. I always love to accessorize in new ways, so I took this Sea Urchin necklace and used it as a belt. Merry Christmas to all of your Mum’s/Mom’s… xx
