This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Savers. The opinions and text are all mine.
If there’s one thing I want to be known for, it’s that I love the thrill of the chase. It’s the hunt, the find, the ultimate score of finding designer pieces at affordable prices. I first fell in love with Savers, when I frequented their sister store Value Village, as they are known for great pieces at all price points, and they tend to have enough variety to suit every walk of life. Every!
If you told me all thrift stores were the same, I would have to say I don’t agree. Like anything in life it’s personal, and once you find a place where you feel comfortable, then you feel at home.
As I’m on the hunt to find some on-trend must-have pieces for fall, I drove to my nearest Savers in Arcadia, CA. My first time there! That’s the great thing about shopping in new places, there is always new inventory, and once inside I was hooked. Anytime I’m in a new store I always make a beeline for the cashier or store manager asking where the designer pieces are kept.
As trends come and go, I like to invest in timeless pieces, ones that I’ll still saver after a season, especially if I got it for a smart bargain. Some fall trends that I know I want to follow:
-
- An “It” designer bag
-
- Patterned Blouses
- Unique statement accessory such as a Chanel inspired belt
I couldn’t make this up if I tried, I found all three! Whaaaatt?? I was on a treasure hunt, and found my list of goodies in less than 30 minutes! I was highly impressed with how organized everything was. Clean orderly rows categorized by size and style. Designer pieces were displayed at the front of each row, making them easy to find.
At great price points, I picked up a few extra items that weren’t on my list, but still adhered to the “timeless trend” factor. With most items priced at $7 or less, I mean how could I say no? Also as I know how to sew and am a great DIYer, there were some pieces that I knew were not my size, but could be tailored to make it great. I think I mentioned the bargain prices right?
Like a kid in a candy store, it’s like I was at a really cool flea market but with air-conditioning. Other sections I didn’t get to shop in but were busy with other patrons, were the home goods, furniture, and decor sections. I was so caught up in my own Disneyland of treasure hunting; the store was now closing.
Some designer brands I came across: Hermes, Dooney & Burke, Coach, Louis Vuitton, Bally, Calvin Klein, Chanel {Ya, that one} to name a few… I scored a Luis Vuitton bag, a Chanel inspired statement belt and an on-trend for fall patterned blouse. I now can believe dreams do come true!
- Louis Vuitton Bag – $49.99
- Chanel inspired statement belt – $7.99
- Patterned blouse – $5.99
