When I was first given the style challenge on how to accessorize a bag, I literally said, Well the list is endless! For todays style tip, I believe you can do ANYTHINGto a tote and add your own personal touch. So while having fun with different threads and textures, I wanted to create a casual look that was simple, removable, pliable and effortless. I’m big on textiles, and love to feel and see a difference in an outfit. Here I took a simple strand of leather and wrapped it around one of the handles to create a little distress. I could have donethis with pins, brooches and the whatnot, but this was just one of many examples that was fun and easy.

I really liked how you accessorized this tote bag. Wrapping a bit of brown leather around the strap seems like a really easy way to make it look a bit more interesting. I bet you could also do this with ribbon and strings with colorful beads. It would be fun to do this for a few of my own tote bags to add an interesting element to them that will match my outfits.
