What do we do here at Curated Cool? find what’s unique & chic and do what no one else is doing. When I knew that I wanted to go and shoot at the Great Wall Of China, I knew that I wanted to go where no one else goes. So where is the best part of The Great Wall of China to visit? It’s the magical part that is not overrun but tourism and hawkers selling you their wares. Jiankou, with its twists and turns up the mountain ridge remains untouched in its natural state, revealing the beautiful imperfections of wild simplicity. I hiked a steep 30 minutes to get to this part of the wall that was built in the Ming Dynasty (1368 – 1644), and never saw another tourist. My driver, the amazing Barry Tse, took these photos with a canon point and shoot. If you have a dream chase it, for you will make it with determination and a little work! Xx
“There is perfection in imperfection”
“Out of clutter find simplicity. From discord find harmony. In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity”
“It takes nothing to join the crowd. It takes everything to stand alone”
“Always laugh. Then laugh while having a laugh”
“Look at me Ma, top of the world!”
“Two roads diverged in a wood and I – I took the one less traveled by,
and that has made all the difference”
“Look up and get lost”
