This time last year, I started out of the gate late. Feeling that I took on more than I could chew, I never slowed my roll one bit. As I kept moving for another year around the sun, I grew immensely as a person through the journeys that I took, and feel more clarity about who I am and what I want for Curated Cool. This year I have three major things I’m going to work towards; Focus, follow and the art of falling forward.
Focus: I have never been good about sticking to goals, but I do extremely well at winging it, and figuring it out as I go along. Oh, understand I am a master at the art of figure-it-out-as-I-go-along! But balance needs to be introduced, so focus is my number one goal. I want to focus more on what my gut tells me, I want to focus on the things that matter to me, and less about the ones that don’t. My focus for Curated Cool is to get back to the root of why I started this creative endeavor. Focus on who I am, what I stand for, and what I really want to say.
Follow: This year is dedicated to following my heart, my gut, my soul, and my inner creative child. I miss the creative process of being tangible with my hands as opposed to being quick with a keyboard. I believe in following the path in front of you even if you don’t know where you’re going. There’s a mindset that screams, Just Say Yes!
Falling Forward: As a big believer in personal growth, we don’t fall down, we fall forward. With learning curves, choices, mistakes, or even in business, if we fall forward we learn quicker cause we are not so focused on the past. I choose to fall forward cause I don’t care about the trivial mindless stuff that gets in my way. With Curated Cool, I know that by focusing on what I am truly passionate about, I will follow what I love and that’s what makes me jump about of bed to continue this journey.
