There is a polished sophistication to being all buttoned up. It doesn’t matter what you do with the sleeves, or if you tuck the shirt in or not, but the collar – it’s the focus right there. It’s a fashion choice I have made more and more lately, as it’s chic, simple and easy. It works […]
Yup. I was one of those kids that went to a fancy “Boarding School.” I never wanted to go, but my parents thought it best to send their kid overseas far far away, for better education and better opportunities. The Result? I became a better rebel, and better at knowing the in’s and out’s of […]
When building a great jewelry collection, it’s best to never repeat pieces twice. Whats makes this freshwater pearl bracelet so different is just one thing. The off-center beading. Sometimes it’s the smallest and simplest of things that can make an item an IT PIECE. Elegant and chic, it’s such a delicate cultured freshwater pearl bracelet. That’s what is so awesome about it. Usually you will see fully stranded pearl bracelets. Not light as a feather like this one. Parisian designer Frederique Dessemond, works under the label ginette_ny. Hands down a timeless classic, jewelry such as this is on point for today and tomorrow. Ring clasp. 14k gold. Made in the USA. Length: 6″ / 15cm.
It’s always about the details. In this stunning red-carpet worthy beaded clutch, the simplicity, yet bold geometrically designed clutch bag make for a keeper. In only using pearls, the design goes from smaller to larger, with a seamless circle motif in the middle. I’m a believer in that you don’t need a lot of the same style of items. You perhaps only need one or two. A hard bodied shell, and a soft-bodied. An optional snake chain shoulder strap is hidden or used, and the bag is lined in champagne satin. The artwork of the pearl beaded clutch bag is complimented with a minimal clap. I also use clutches that are structured such as this, as a display when not in use, by filling it with scarves. There is beauty in every element of my home, and the goal is to encourage you to display your beautiful pieces too. Faux pearls, Satin. Width 8.5″ x Height 6.5″.
There are three reasons I love buying vintage designer jewelry. Number one, is that it’s always cheaper. Number two, is that the choice is more dispersed. Meaning that there is less in circulation, and a lot of it comes from different countries. Different countries produce different products, which in turn creates more one of a kind pieces. Number three, the resale value is usually the same as what you purchased it for, making designer vintage a win. Now I’m not talking about any old designer vintage, but the RIGHT designer vintage. What makes this vintage Coco Chanel pearl necklace so alluring, is not just the pearls, but the sun shaped clasp. That is the stunner. Personally I would wear it clasp facing forward, or even off to the side. It creates unique among the unique. Gold-tone necklace with faux pearls, sun shaped clasp at the rear and a brand plaque pendant. Measurements: pendant: 3.5 cm, circumference: 44 cm.
